House Republicans have introduced a measure, House Bill 1280, that would reinstate a six percent spending limit on state funds that was repealed in 2009 by a Democratic led legislature with SB09-228. The proposal also creates a rainy day fund equal to eight percent of the state’s operating budget. HB 1280 is being sponsored by Reps. Don Beezley, R-Broomfield, and Brian DelGrosso, R-Loveland.
